A Brief Introduction to SFW

Science Fiction World(SFW) takes the first place in China 's science fiction publishing market. It publishes five magazines, including Science Fiction World, Science Fiction Comic, Fantasy World, Science Fiction World-The Translations and Pure Fantasy, all of which are warmly welcomed by Chinese young adult readers, and stably occupy a share of above 95% of China 's science fiction periodical market, especially in the periodicall markets in large and medium cities of China .

As the leader of China 's science fiction circle, SFW has been endeavoring to publicize and cultivate China 's science fiction culture. After years of persistent efforts, SFW has possessed a large number of faithful readers. In 1991, on behalf of China's science fiction circle, SFW successfully hosted the annual meeting of World SF, The International Association of Science Fiction Professionals, which was appraised as "the most ceremonious and successful annual meeting since the foundation of World SF 15 years ago" by Mr. Edwards, the chairman of World SF at that time. In addition, in 1997, SFW invited science fiction writers, scientists and astronauts all over the world to attend the "1997 Beijing International Science Fiction Convention", and the brilliant achievements will be recorded forever in the history of China's science fiction.
